Miles King & The Foolish Knights
Sweet Soul & More
Miles King & The Foolish are all about it: whipping up sweet soul on screaming tape and pounding beats, catchy hornlines, and somehow timeless vibes. The band, led by the Frankfurt singer, got together in Osnabrück back in 2019 and regularly tears up stages across Germany. Their upcoming single "A GOOD DAY b/W HURT SO BAD" and the forthcoming "TAPES EP" are cooked up in collaboration with Mocambo Records. The upcoming Single introduces you into the world of tape machines, grit and everything it takes for an excellent soul 45.

The R.S.U.s
Instrumental Funk
The R.S.U.’s deliver an exquisite soundtrack perfect for dancing, relaxing, and late-night drives.
When Henri Jerratsch and Marcel Bach founded their band in 2022, hours of sweat and tears passed in musty basement rooms, along with the occasional funk instrumental here and there. With the distinctive crunch of an old tape recorder and the unique Sound of a spring reverb, soul and funk enthusiasts will be in for a treat.

The Upper Sides feat. Tommie Harris
Tommie Harris *07.04.1937 +19.04.2025 - REST IN PEACE.
Our friend Tommie Harris is no longer with us. We have lost a great human, musician, mentor, friend, session host, teacher and much more. Like Jimmy Cee said: "Tommie put us on a path" – His spirit and his music live on. Thank you for everything. You'll be deeply missed, Tommie.
About Tommie Harris:
Tommie Harris, hailing from the heartbeat of the South, Bessemer,Alabama, was inspired by the melodies of his family's gospel music from his early childhood. As a teenager, he found his calling at the drums, expressing his talent through school bands and jazz ensembles. As his skills were recognized and nurtured by saxophonist Youssef Latif, his talent found its wings.
Amidst the backdrop of South Korea's embrace, where duty called, his drums sang out in the shadows of service. Later, he found the Fabulous Upsetters, from which the funk band Heatwave emerged in the early 1970s. Europe eventually beckoned, opening doors to new horizons. There, he unfolded his artistry alongside luminaries such as Luther Allison, Sam & Dave, and Calwin Owens. In 1987, he received well-deserved recognition, being inducted into the Alabama Jazz Hall of Fame.
Tommie Harris, a man with an insatiable thirst for music, is renowned for his electrifying performances and diverse repertoire. From clubs to the grand stages of Europe, he regularly captivates audiences with his unmistakable groove and feeling. His recurring appearances with bands like The Blues Cats,The Blues Caravan, and the Tommie Harris Gospel Trio have become legendary in the music scene. Particularly noteworthy is his involvement in the "Tommie Harris and Friends Jam " which sets the city ablaze every second Tuesday of the month.
In 2022, Marcel Bach and Henri Jerratsch, along with other musicians, formed the band "The Upper Sides" and produced songs for the first Soulport Session, where the instrumental track of "The World Must Change" found its place on tape on a hot summer night.
Marcel regularly attended the Tommie Harris and Friends Session. Inspired by Tommie, he asked him to collaborate on writing lyrics for the instrumental track. After Tommie recorded an initial demo take, it became clear that it had become his song and urgently needed to see the light of day.
